Technology Lab |
The technology lab is arranged in a combination of a modular setting and open project areas. The modules in this lab cover topics in transportation, construction, manufacturing, power & energy, and communications. Module lessons strive to introduce students to areas such as robotics, computer numerical control, computer integrated manufacturing, structural engineering, graphic communication & design, electronics, and aerodynamics. The module portion of the lab is linked to a central monitoring station located in the coordinator's office. Modular lessons are supplemented through group projects that are completed in the open area of the lab. The open area of the lab is set up with drafting tables for the students to complete mechanical drafting assignments. The open area of the lab has counter tops with cabinets below them for Pre-Engineering project development and storage. All the technology education classes use the technology lab to supplement instruction delivered in the CAD lab.
